Thursday Wishlist: A Happy Kiwi

I adore this print by New Zealand artist Sam Lane.  I wanted to feature an artist from that part of the world this week because I have a friend over visiting who emigrated to NZ after we finished uni.  So this one is for her!

Sam says “ I draw because I have to. I get the itch, the urge to draw something, and without thinking I’ve grabbed a pen or pencil and I’m sketching away. The rest of the world could be falling down around me and I wouldn’t know. Drawing excites me, especially when I get it right!”
